Public libraries from Western Australia attended the ‘Challenge Accepted’ conference.
LIBERO by Insight Informatics was proud to sponsor the Public Libraries of Western Australia Conference 2017 held in September at the University Club of Western Australia.
Held over two days, the event looked at the challenges that face the public library profession. It gave WA Public Library employees the opportunity to share success stories and inspire innovation in public libraries.
Public Library professionals presented their own engaging community activities through programmes, such as the Pop Up Libraries and Home Schooling Support. Marketing Specialists proposed ideas for the future of public libraries.
President of Public Libraries Western Australia, Deb Summers, said they received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback from delegates.
“We are extremely pleased with the feedback we have about the Conference,” she said.
“The delegates appreciated the quality of the speakers and the opportunity to interact with suppliers in the Trade Exhibition, coming away enthusiastic and inspired about the future directions and possibilities.”
LIBERO’s Business Development Manager, Alina Radbone, attended the event and said the Conference was a huge success.
“The PLWA Conference was extremely successful, with some intriguing and compelling speakers and with some excellent case studies of positive community engagement” said Alina.
“And it was encouraging to receive such enthusiastic feedback about LIBERO as we begin to broaden our footprint in WA.”
