LIBERO has always been committed to keeping its customers up to date with the latest technology. As announced at the LIBERO Online Symposium 2020, we are now pleased to take the next step and transition to the newest generation of InterSystems’ data platform, IRIS.
We have secured that all LIBERO customers will receive the latest generation DBMS at no additional cost.
The new generation DBMS, IRIS, offers better performance, optimal interoperability, and scalability across different environments. Moreover, new and exciting features such as improved API management and enhanced mechanisms for integrating and connecting to external systems will make the integration with third-party vendors and other programs with LIBERO even easier. In addition, customers will benefit from IRIS’s enhanced machine learning capabilities.
LIBERO Cloud Libraries
Our LIBERO Cloud libraries will receive IRIS as part of their maintenance agreement and do not need to worry about its implementation. Sit back and relax, and we will be in touch with you as soon as we have the licences to arrange a suitable date for the transition. Our IRIS transition project will start at the earliest at the end of 2021/beginning of 2022.
Libraries that have an on-premise system and have not yet expressed interest in IRIS must give us their consent by the end of October 2021 at the latest to secure their new licences free of charge. Your IT department is responsible for installing IRIS and can do so at their convenience. We will provide you with a standard set of instructions on how to set up IRIS. Alternatively, you will have the option to commission our tech support team to assist you with the implementation (charges apply).
We expect all LIBERO libraries to be running on IRIS by the end of 2022.
If you have any questions about IRIS, do not hesitate to contact our project manager Bettina Schels at firstname.lastname@example.org.
