The Libero Team make moving forward easy with streamlined processes, immediate upgrades, and responsive WebOPAC

Central Coast Library Services has become Libero’s largest hosted solution in Libero Cloud, following the merger between Gosford and Wyong Councils.

Central Coast Council now consists of 11 branches, 2 community libraries and a Bookmobile covering 1,600km2 with a population of around 330,000, making it Libero’s largest Cloud-based customer.

The challenge for Libero was merging our customer’s on-premise database (Gosford City Library) with a new customer’s database (Wyong Shire Library), and moving it into their new hosted environment.

Central Coast Library Services, Project Manager, Nicole Barr said Libero impressed the Library Service with its smooth installation process.

“Libero’s Project Team needed just one attempt to get it right, which has saved us so much time and shortened the closure period of the library,” Nicole said.

Central Coast Section Manager – Library Futures and Planning, Ben Hartley, said that immediate upgrades and the great work of Libero’s Project Team make it very exciting moving forward.

“The immediate upgrades bring daily, bitesize improvements to our software reducing training and cost that usually comes with a software upgrade,” said Ben.

“To have daily upgrades ‘drip fed’ allows the library to have the best features and up-to-date software without having to do a thing”

“Giving the scale of merging the catalogues the entire Libero team has been impressive.”
