On September 13th 2024, Libero customers came together from across Australia and met in Sydney for the Knosys Libero User Group Conference and Awards. The annual conference provides an opportunity for Libero customers to be updated on upcoming features, network, and recognise excellence in customers using the Libero LMS to further improve member experience and meet the Libero team.
Delivering even more in 2024
Following feedback from customers in 2023, this year’s User Group Conference focused not only on sharing new features such as Discovery and Member Management and introducing the upcoming Libero Library App but also on presentations from libraries showcasing improvements for members and staff and how the Libero LMS helped to deliver great outcomes.
Richmond Upper-Clarence shared how they highlight diversity in their catalogue with an emphasis on First Nation groups, Eurobodalla Library presented how they implemented a creative solution for sharing Eurobodalla Bushfire Stories, and Woollahra Libraries gave a deep dive into how they work in partnership with Libero to deliver ongoing improvements for their staff and members.
Libraries also received Libero Masterclasses where our support team shared useful insights and tips for improving the use of their LMS including Custom Pages, System Maintenance, WebOPAC and Reporting.
Recognising Excellence: The Knosys Libero Library Awards Dinner
Innovation
The winner of the Knosys Libero Innovation Awards 2024 was Woollahra Libraries for improving stocktake processes. Previously, stocktaking was time-consuming and prone to errors. With the help of Libero, the library introduced a more efficient system, reducing manual work and increasing accuracy.
This new approach allowed the library to complete stocktakes much faster, freeing up staff to spend more time serving the community.
Design
Eurobodalla Libraries was recognised with the Design Award for their project, “Stories of the Eurobodalla”.
Eurobodalla Libraries used Libero’s custom pages to effectively present and preserve local oral histories, including those from the Black Summer bushfires.
Eurobodalla Libraries tackled challenges in archival storage and file formats to ensure long-term access to their collection. Their practical and innovative approach sets a new benchmark for integrating digital solutions with community history.
Diversity & Inclusion
Edward River Library was awarded for Diversity & Inclusion for its successful community initiatives this past year. Through targeted outreach, the library identified needs for better service access, especially for rural and housebound residents.
In Conclusion
Providing valuable updates, insights, and networking opportunities, attendees learned about upcoming Libero developments, gained practical advice from industry experts, and celebrated library excellence at the Knosys Libero Library Awards Dinner. This conference equipped the Libero Users with practical insights to keep libraries relevant and innovative in the digital age and Knosys looks forward to an even bigger conference in 2025.
