Chris Thewlis joins LIBERO

Christopher Thewlis is taking on the Business Development role, taking over Australia’s public, education, and private Library Management System (LMS) responsibilities.

Chris brings almost 30 years’ experience to the LIBERO team to lead the growth of LIBERO Cloud and other LIBERO features such as Relevance, the future WebOPAC, and Business Intelligence.

In his experience, Chris has been in a variety of roles with other LMS suppliers, gaining great knowledge to support current and brand-new LIBERO users.
Chris said the LIBERO role was too good of an opportunity to turn down.

“LIBERO has a earned a great name, for its product and service,” Chris said.

“When the opportunity was presented to me, it’s tight operations and unique, personalised service was very appealing and something I couldn’t turn down.”
Chris will be attending the New South Wales’ Public Library Association SWITCH Conference and Public Libraries Victoria Conference where LIBERO will host an exhibition stand.

LIBERO Founder, Sam Patane believes Chris’s arrival comes at the perfect time.

“Chris’s recent experience with EBSCO particularly with emerging technologies relating to e-materials combined with his long term LMS and Library Industry experience as a perfect and timely fit for spearheading LIBERO Business development,” said Sam Patane
