Customer, Another long-standing customer migrates to LIBERO Cloud

Richmond-Upper Clarence Regional Library, a LIBERO customer for nearly three decades, has migrated its library management system (LMS) to LIBERO Cloud.

Richmond Valley Council, Library Manager, Gary Ellem said always being on the latest version of the LMS and the unlimited WEBOPAC licence were major factors to migrating to the Cloud solution.

“With the Cloud environment we will always have the latest version of LIBERO,” said Gary.

“The unlimited WEBOPAC license will also be a big benefit as we are looking at introducing some touch screen kiosks in our libraries, which will have OPAC facilities.

“A side benefit to LIBERO Cloud is not being reliant on our Council IT team to carry out work for us, as LIBERO’s support team carry out all the immediate upgrades and support functions. This gives our Council IT team time to spend in other areas.”

Gary said the library had no need to look at any other options for our LMS Cloud service.

“We are very happy with LIBERO. We’ve been a satisfied user since 1992,” said Gary.

“It is a very user-friendly LMS and now that the library has some younger staff, we are discovering that is has a lot more functionality, which we are really starting to use.

When asked about the migration process from traditional to LIBERO Cloud, Gary was impressed with the support and smooth transition.

“The upgrade process went smoothly,” Gary confirmed.

“Karn, Selena and Carolyn regularly checked in on us and Jeremy also replied very quickly to any of our queries.”
