LIBEROarians Gather at Shoalhaven
Representatives from more than 100 Australian libraries will gather at the 26th National LIBERO User Group 2012 in Shoalhaven, New South Wales next month.
The annual two-day forum provides LIBERO customers the opportunity to connect with fellow users from libraries and organisations across the country and discuss future functionality with LIBERO Developers and Customer Services Staff.
“We’re very proud of the strength of the LIBERO User Group and activity within the customer base,” said Insight Informatics founder, Sam Patane. “The User Group is regularly identified as one of the key benefits of LIBERO by customers and I believe it is a critical advantage to LIBERO,” he said.
Supported by Insight Informatics – the Brisbane-based company that develops and supports LIBERO’s international customer base – the National User Group provides clients opportunity to network, enhance product knowledge and find new ways to use the library management system to its full potential.
Attendees also have opportunity to directly contribute to the 2013/2014 LIBERO Product Roadmap – to identify development priorities and to define possible new system features. This process has continued to evolve the LIBERO suite of management solutions to include Discovery Layer, Mobility and Electronic Resource Management solutions in addition to the fully-integrated LMS, LIBERO Version 6.
“Being a member of the LIBERO User Group allows us to be proactive in the development of our Library Management System,” said AlburyCity Council’s Coordinator of Information and Library Collections, Michelle Head.
“The annual forum also provides great opportunity to network with other libraries, and to share and learn from each other,” she said.
“LIBERO customers and the User Group are integral to our development process. I believe this is critical to the 25-plus year history of success of our products, and the continued development of effective solutions that satisfy the needs of today’s library staff and members,” said Patane.
This year’s LIBERO User Group will be attended by more than 50 users from a national client base that includes more than 137 public libraries and a diversity of academic libraries and organisations.
The LIBERO User Group 2012 will be held November 29-30 in Shoalhaven, New South Wales and is open to all libraries using the LIBERO library management solution.
